Davey, a core member, is notorious around community for his political advocacy. Every time you enter his home, you’ll most likely see a letter addressed to a political representative in his mailbox. So, it comes as no surprise that Davey couldn’t wait to attend a town hall meeting of Senator Don Harmon this summer.
Senator Harmon has been a long-time supporter of L’Arche Chicago, and agreed to come visit our recently completed new home, St. Joseph House, and Davey couldn’t wait to see the Senator again. During the visit, Davey and Monika Robinson, a member of the house’s planning committee, enjoyed giving the Senator a tour and pointing out sustainable and accessible features around the home.
The Senator took time to listen as Davey shared the political issues that matter most to him. We’re sincerely grateful for the Senator’s support and thrilled that Davey had the chance to express his political passions.
