Celebrating Jean’s Art at the Design Museum of Chicago

Jean loves taking trips to downtown Chicago, but her recent trip to the Design Museum of Chicago was truly special because Jean’s art was on display!

Jean has been a long-time artist at Arts of Life in Chicago. Over the years, she’s found joy in creating countless paintings. Jean has established a bold artistic style, utilizing bright colors and lively subjects, most frequently featuring furry creatures that showcase sharp teeth.

In September, Arts of Life opened an exhibit at the museum. It came as no surprise that Jean’s prolific pieces were selected to be featured. To celebrate – Jean, Andrea, another core member, Diana, and Andrew spent the day exploring the museum together.

To everyone’s delight, Arts of Life was leading a large group of spectators through the exhibition. The tour guide, a team lead at Arts of Life, invited Jean to step to the front and share about her work. Jean was thrilled!

Jean described her three featured pieces: a wolf wearing a tiara, her phone, and a dog. When she opened the floor for questions, one spectator asked why she loved painting dogs. Jean chuckled and replied, “Because I’m German.” The crowd loved it.

Jean is also featured in the Arts of Life book, which was on display. She was beaming with joy all afternoon, especially when she showed her friend, Andrea, her work.

We are so proud of Jean and excited that the art world is recognizing her incredible creativity.
