Core Members Prepare for 2025 Solidarity Brunch

Published 6 March 2025

This week, core members have come together in preparation for our Solidarity Brunch!

Many core members have gifts in the arts. As a way to contribute to the Brunch, core members from all four homes decorated globe maps that will be used as decorations. Angel House was particularly fond of using glitter on their globes, so keep an eye out for some extra sparkle on Saturday.

Core members’ contributions have not stop there. Many core members have volunteered to help with check-in, sell raffle tickets, donate art for the silent auction, and give presentations at the Brunch.

Anders, core member, is excited to speak during the Brunch about his trip with Mic, Executive Director, a couple years ago to Northern Ireland for the International Federation of L’Arche. During his trip, Anders worked alongside 500 L’Arche members from around the globe. Together, they helped develop a five-year plan for the Federation.

A keystone of L’Arche Chicago is our connection with the International Federation of L’Arche. Core members recognize the importance of this union and recognize the contributions they can make to help struggling sister communities worldwide. The 2025 Solidarity Brunch has been a team effort because core members know that we all play a role in supporting L’Arche International.

We are looking forward to the Brunch on Saturday and hope you will join us!
