L’Arche Becomes Wolves Fans Over the Weekend!

This past weekend four of our core members and seven of our assistants from Peace House and Friendship House had an opportunity to watch a Wolves game. Interestingly enough, all of our German volunteers attended, many of which have never seen an ice hockey game before.

“The game was characterized by entertaining halftime shows, as well as very physical collisions and playful moves. So there was something for everyone, even for those who are not so keen on sports,” said Luis, assistant.

The day was filled with action, community bonding and loads of entertainment. “I had fun, even though the Wolves lost,” said Davey, core member.

“I’m beginning to understand why it’s so much fun to be a fan of a sports team and cheer them on,” said Paula, assistant.

L’Arche is grateful for the Wolves who provided us with complimentary tickets. Their generosity made this experience possible and brought smiles to core members and assistants alike.

“It was really nice to go on a trip with the others, as such events are always a great opportunity to get to know each other better and grow closer together. I think it’s great that L’arche makes such trips possible, because that’s what it’s all about, doing something together,” said Luis.
