Are you looking for a home and community for yourself or someone you love with intellectual disabilities? L’Arche is a way of life, but it’s also a model of care that is unique. People with intellectual disabilities (core members) are at the heart of L’Arche. They’re not clients, patients, or recipients of services, but rather they are friends, teachers, and companions. L’Arche Chicago is an intentional community of faith and a family-like environment. We are nestled on the west side of Chicago with homes in the Austin neighborhood and suburban Oak Park and Forest Park. Our administrative office is located along Madison Street in Forest Park. We are active members of the Oak Park/River Forest community.
