The L'Arche Chicago community invites you to join us as when we spend a day together around the theme of "Finding the Treasure". Sr. Christella will share from the Gospels and in particular the parables of Jesus. We will also have times of music, prayer and activities. The cost will be $20 and we ask that you bring a bag lunch. We will supply beverages and snacks.

Sr. Christella has long been involved in L'Arche. In addition to being a founder of L'Arche Heartland in Overland Park, Kansas, she has been a member of the L'Arche International Council and has lived at the L'Arche community in Tacoma, Washington. She is the author of Flowers from the L'Arche, a delightful book filled with stories from the homes of L'Arche worldwide.

Faith and Sharing was born following a retreat preached by Jean Vanier in Marylake, near Toronto, Ontario, in 1968. These annual retreats allow the larger L'Arche community to come together to reflect on the Gospels and to rejoice in our life together. Faith and Sharing welcomes unconditionally people from any age, social background or function. All are invited to live community around the Word of Jesus. L'Arche is a worldwide movement where people with developmental disabilities and those those who share their lives with them create community.
